New Jersey wildfire could become state’s largest in 2 decades

A row of trees towers above the camera as a fire burns behind the treeline and dark clouds hang overhead.

A fast-moving wildfire in eastern New Jersey has consumed about 4,650 hectares in less than 24 hours and is expected to grow before forecasted rain later this week, officials said Wednesday. No injuries have been reported so far in the blaze, which could become the largest in New Jersey in about 20 years.
