A fifth of teens plan to choose an apprenticeship over university in the future, with many worrying about student debt, delaying the start of their career – and no guarantee of a job. The study, into 800 11-18-year-olds and their parents, found getting paid while learning and experiencing working life appeals to some youngsters, rather than university.
