Bills’ Personalities Impacted Von Miller’s Free-Agency Decision

The Buffalo Bills made a shocking splash in the offseason. They signed Von Miller to a very lucrative, long-term deal to revamp a defense that didn't have much room for improvement.

Their heartbreaking loss to the Kansas City Chiefs only made them more determined to prove that they can compete at the highest level, and they enter this NFL season as the undisputed team to beat in the AFC.

Miller 'Loves' The Bills Locker Room

Miller hasn't been around for long but he's already loving it in Buffalo. He claims that the "collection of personalities" in the locker room is something he had never experienced and one of the reasons why he decided to join the team:

“I love these guys,” Miller said, per ProFootballTalk. “I knew about the team, I knew about the players here, but the collection of guys, the collection of personalities is nothing like I’ve ever ben on. I was with the Rams last year and it was like the Pro Bowl every day. You’ve got talented guys all around, Jalen Ramsey, Aaron Donald, Cooper Kupp, Matthew Stafford, I had Odell Beckham, his locker was right across from mine. We had a great locker room there, but this locker room is great."It Has A College Vibe, Says Miller

The superstar pass-rusher also claimed that the facility gives him 'college vibes,' and the way the locker room handles itself is just great to be around:

"It kind of has like a college vibe here at the facility," Miller added. "The facility is great here. Whenever we’re here at work it’s great."The Weather Won't Be An Issue

Needless to say, leaving Los Angeles to move to Buffalo is a bit of a tough transition, weather-wise. But despite the blistering cold, Buffalo still feels like home for the two-time Super Bowl champion:

"When you walk outside, I’m still getting used to the wind and being in Buffalo, but everybody I’ve talked to that moved here from big cities, they love it," Miller said. "They grow this love for this city, they grow this love for snow and wind. I’m hoping that’ll be me but I haven’t gotten there yet. But when we’re here at the facility, it’s a dream. It just reminds me of why I made the decision to come here to Buffalo.”It's Super Bowl Or Bust In Buffalo

All things considered, it would be hard to argue that the Bills have officially entered win-now mode. If not, they wouldn't have committed that much money on an aging player, as great and impactful as he is.

The Bills already had a stout, dominant defense before Miller's arrival and he's only going to make them scarier. So, props to Brandon Beane for putting together that environment and roster and finally turning an ever-struggling franchise around.
