Coronation Street’s Terry Duckworth pays tribute as soap celebrates 60 years on screen

IT WOULD be wrong to say working class life was not represented in plays and on film and TV prior to the breakthrough of Coronation Street in 1960. Working class characters on stage, film or radio did exist pre-Corrie, notably in films such as the Love On The Dole and The Blue Lamp.
