Daniel Ellsberg, the history-making whistleblower who, by leaking the Pentagon Papers, revealed longtime government doubts and deceit about the Vietnam War and inspired acts of retaliation by then President Richard Nixon that helped lead to his resignation, has died of pancreatic cancer.
