DRY EYE disease occurs when eyes don’t make enough tears or tears evaporate too quickly. This can cause eyes to feel scratchy, irritated and sore. Although the NHS describes the condition as “not usually serious”, for others, like 53-year-old Margaret Norton it can be a persistent issue that causes suffering.
