Mobility First

Many may wrongly think that you should just hit the weights. But according to Aniston's trainers, the actor takes a more subtle and measured approach. You see, Aniston isn't trying to pack on the muscle. She just wants a nice toned, athletic look.

So how does Aniston achieve her signature arm look? She focuses on mobility exercises specifically.

"She works so hard, and I’ve never really seen anything like it," her trainer Leyon Azubuike told Women's Health. "You constantly, as a coach, have to stay on your toes and make it challenging."

Some of Jennifer Aniston's Favorite Poses

So what exactly does Aniston do? Well, she starts out with certain yoga exercises. Some of her favorites include cat-cow, bird dog, and downward-facing dog. But she doesn't just stop at yoga. Aniston also incorporates jumping jacks, jump rope, and butt kicks into her exercise routine.

Jennifer Aniston's Trainer Shows Fans How It's Done

Fortunately, one of Jennifer Aniston's trainers shows fans a few pointers. In an exercise video with Pop Sugar, Aniston's trainer Mandy Ingber walked through some of the star's physical yoga workouts.

For instance, the sunset salute is great for working one's arms and core. While it takes time to master, anyone can learn the basics in a single session.

Hitting The Bag

Aniston also isn't afraid to hit the bag. In fact, the Hollywood star relies on boxing to stay in shape. She floats like a butterfly and stings like a bee.

"It's the longest workout I’ve actually stayed with consistently other than yoga," she told In Style. "There's something about the mental aspect of boxing—the drills, your brain has to work, you're not just sitting on a bike. It's amazing."

Aniston gets in the ring as well, working all of her arm muscles in a push or pull approach.

"With Jen, we like to focus on a lot of push and pull," Azubuike said. "Boxing is a very front-dominant sport, so you want to pull it back.

Why Athletic Looking Arms Are A Must

So what's the appeal of Aniston and her arms? Well, it's always great to be physically active and healthy. Plus, they look great as well.

“It’s appealing because it demonstrates strength, health, and athleticism – as opposed to simply being ‘slim’ – which is a visual confirmation of following an active and healthy lifestyle. Simply put, someone with good muscle tone looks ‘fit,'" trainer Luke Worthington told Vanity Fair.
