Kelly Ripa’s Leggy Replacement Wanted For Permanent Spot

Kelly Ripa is facing stiff competition from the woman this week replacing her. The 50-year-old talk show queen has been a no-show for two days running on “Live! With Kelly and Ryan,” with 45-year-old co-host Ryan Seacrest joined by a new face. “Live!” which hasn’t confirmed why former “All My Children” actress Kelly is missing, has been updating viewers via its Instagram, and it looks like fans want the temporary replacement as a permanent deal.Scroll for “Live” with Ryan, but no Kelly below.

No-Show Kelly

Scroll for the video. It comes as Ryan, who is also hosting “American Idol” tonight, makes headlines for seeing himself ditched by mom of three Kelly. The “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” producer was yesterday joined by 42-year-old media personality Maria Menounos, with the leggy looker seeming to prove mighty popular. Maria, who wore tiny shorts and a jacket on yesterday’s episode and today upped the ante in a gold-yellow minidress and heels, was introduced as “cohost” by “Live!” See it below.

With Kelly absent and a new face, viewers of America’s most-watched morning talk show have plenty to discuss. Many, it would seem, want Maria to land herself a permanent hosting spot alongside Ryan. A fair few were out to suggest that Ripa interrupts Seacrest too much. “Keep her on!” a popular comment read, with another fan writing:

“Loooove her!!!!! The most positive happiest person I have seen on tv / social medial! A truly inspiration 😍”

Two Can Play At This Game

A few trolling comments did come in. When a fan asked if no-one else was “available,” another swooped in, writing: “Don’t listen to the haters Maria…you were great this morning!!

Kelly ditching Ryan this year follows the reverse last year, when Kelly was left holding down the fort for two days straight – one seeing Ryan take the day off, with the second seeing him anxiously awaiting the results of a COVID test. Kelly, meanwhile, was also last year joined by both Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper during Ryan’s absence.

Done With ‘Live’?

Kelly, who has starred on “Live!” since 2001, last year made an admission as she celebrated turning 50. The blonde hinted that her days on the syndicated talk show might be over soon, with a Parade interview seeing her state:

“I’ve been writing a lot, so my goal ultimately would be to eventually get off camera and start working behind the camera more in that creative aspect because I really do enjoy the writing process so much.”

Kelly and Ryan’s joint re-appearance has yet to be confirmed.
