MLB lockout ends as owners approve 5-year labour deal with unanimous vote

Players have voted to accept Major League Baseball’s latest offer for a new labour deal, paving the way to end a 99-day lockout and salvage a 162-game regular season. Owners approved the five-year labour contract with a 30-0 vote. MLB was expected to formally lift the lockout around 7 p.m. on its 99th day.
