NFL Rumors: This Is Why Free Agents Want To Join The Bills

Not so long ago, the Buffalo Bills were bottom-feeders in the AFC. The blistering cold and the team's struggles to put together a competitive squad often made them an afterthought in free agency.

But after watching the team that GM Brandon Beane has put together and how Josh Allen has turned into a marquee name in the NFL, that's no longer the case.

Tim Settle Lauds The Bills' Winning Culture

The Bills made great strides in free agency. They snatched Tim Settle away from the Washington Commanders. When asked about his decision, he claimed that the new-look Bills are a team that simply wants to win:

"It looks like they want to win. Everybody looks like they want to win," the DT said in his introductory press conference. "They play like they want to win; you could tell every week they want to win. It's a winning culture here, that’s what we want to be a part of. From the bottom to the top, they want to win, and everybody's bought in."O.J. Howard Say The Bills Are Close To The Top

That seems to be in line with what former Bucs TE O.J. Howard said after joining the team. The Bills are so close to the top that making them better is a tough challenge:

"The proof's in the pudding. You look at this team the last couple years, they were so close to going all the way," Howard said. "… It's just a great spot to come to with a quarterback like Josh and seeing all the talent around him."Von Miller Calls The Bills 'Special'

Von Miller also lauded the fans and how they've been a perfect complement for the team's strides on the gridiron, up to the point that they drove him away from the Super Bowl champions Los Angeles Rams:

"When I left Denver and I went to LA, I said I'm not going back. I said I'm not leaving," Miller said. "And it had to be something special. It had to be the Buffalo Bills. What they've created here — it had to be the Bills Mafia. This environment that they've created here, it drawed me away from that. It's not gonna be the weather. The weather is gonna be the weather. But what they're doing inside this facility, what they're doing in this community, what they're doing on the football field and off the football field, man, I had to be a part of that."The Front Office Has Done A Great Job

The Bills have certainly come a long way and they're just getting started, per GM Brandon Beane:

"I remember saying here a few years ago about 'people don't want to be in Buffalo,'" Beane said. "It's exciting to me that the city of Buffalo got chosen over the glamor of L.A. or Dallas or some of these other cities.

Now, they'll need to prove they're for real by finally achieving the ultimate glory.
