THE NEW Covid variant, Omicron, believed to have originated in southern Africa, is reaching thousands in the UK. The latest Government data reported 102,729 confirmed Omicron cases in England on 24 December. The symptoms of this variant appear to be different from the previous infections. This includes a lesser-known sign which could help spot the fast-spreading Covid strain.
