Petula Clark health: Star, 89, on her ‘urgent’ condition – ‘I was in great pain’

PETULA CLARK first found fame as a child entertainer during the Second World War. Since then she has had success as a singer with hits like Downtown and appeared in multiple films like Goodbye Mr Chips. At the age of 89, the star is seemingly in remarkable health, and performed in the West End version of Mary Poppins back in 2019. But what some people may not know is that at a young age the star suffered from a nasty infection after an operation.
