Record numbers of men have prostate cancer check following death of BBC’s Bill Turnbull

Veteran broadcaster Bill Turnbull has been credited on the anniversary of his death with sparking a flood of men coming forward for life-saving prostate cancer checks. A record 262,000 patients were referred for suspected urological cancers in England in the year to February – 17 percent higher than the pre-pandemic average.
