School Boards nationwide feeling heat from concerned parents

In what is just the latest salvo in the ongoing war between school boards and the parents they are supposed to represent, the president of the Orange County, CA Los Alamitos Unified School District Board of Education, dropped an “F Bomb” on a parent, Lauren Roupoli, who voiced her concern regarding the administration of COVID vaccinations to children. Roupoli’s belief is that “any possible benefit is far outweighed by the risks.”

Marlys Davidson, the board’s president, was caught on a hot mic dropping the F Bomb after a fiery presentation by parent Roupoli to board regarding the vaccination. Davidson has subsequently apologized for her outrageous behavior.

The disdain of school boards towards the parents they allegedly represent seems to be a wide spread phenomenon, with massive controversies erupting in places as geographically separated as Loudoun County, VA and Manhattan Beach, CA.

And while nearly three thousand miles separate the two places, the attitude of entitled “wokeness” appears to be identical. On the west coast, the Manhattan Beach Unified School District (MBUSD) appeared to be less concerned with vaccination status than in identity politics. At a recent MBUSD “workshop” dedicated with the implementation of Critical Race Theory (CRT) and Equity, Diversity, Social Justice, and Inclusion practices, (EDSJI), outraged parents vented their frustrations about the installation of wokeness in the curriculum. Quoting from the news site Red State:

[Parent] Fred Taylor, has lived in Manhattan Beach for 45 years, runs his business there, and has had two daughters in the Manhattan Beach Unified School District (MBUSD), one who has since graduated.

Taylor’s daughters are both Hispanic, and he asked the one who graduated a few years back, whether she had experienced any racism in her time at school. His daughter said, no, and told him: “We hardly had any Black students there.”

Taylor found it curious that his own daughter did not immediately identify with racial injustice, even though she herself is considered a minority. This is one bit of evidence that racism and racist viewpoints are less systemic….

Author Jennifer Oliver O’Connell of Red State recently categorized the MBUSD board as being totally agenda driven, rather than being interested in solving any perceived problems faced by either students or parent, saying :

If you are looking to serve an agenda, rather than isolate issues and solve them, you will find, or manufacture, anything that furthers that agenda.

One of the worse of clichés in Hollywood is “White Savior syndrome” where a white character comes in and saves the non-white character(s). Based on the facts on the ground, it appears that the Jen Fenton led MBUSD is attempting to be exactly that: woke white people trying to save minorities from the evil of whiteness, using the CRT / EDSJI agenda. It should be increasingly obvious to anyone that the MBUSD board is nothing more than a five headed sock puppet for the woke mob pushing CRT and its offspring EDSJI.
