Universal Credit UK: High Court allows legacy benefit claimants to challenge DWP uplift

UNIVERSAL Credit payments were awarded a £20 uplift in early 2020 as the pandemic raged on and while this was welcomed by many, the Government was criticised for not extending the same uplift to legacy benefits. Rishi Sunak has resisted many calls to amend this but today, it was found the state may be challenged in court over its decisions.
