Weight-loss surgery ‘cuts cancer risks’ by 41 percent

Weight-loss operations can slash the risk of women dying from cancer by nearly half, even if they are not obese, experts say. Researchers found those having the surgery – including gastric bypasses and bands – had a 41 percent lower risk of suffering cancers linked to obesity.
